He Said To His Disciple

"All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers." They were devoted, and devoted to what? In accord, to prayer. And they prayed with Mary, mother of Jesus, and until this day, we do too, we pray with Mary, the mother of Jesus, and His brothers, and sisters, together, we pray together in one accord. The Scriptures continue to unfold, and live truly alive, and active. We should take every opportunity to pray, together, in one accord, and with the Mother of our Lord.

my2cents:"And when Paul appealed that he be held in custody for the Emperor’s decision, I ordered him held until I could send him to Caesar.”Paul was in in prison, and being held for a case that regular authorities could not understand. It was a case...for Christ. Who will have the greater blood on their hand? It is the accuser...the proud, the ones without mercy. There was no reason for Paul to be slaughtered like another lamb, but in the eyes of the proud...there is all the reason to crucify an innocent man. And so they crucify, that is to order the death of an innocent...in the name of...their so called God! Why do I say this? Some still are killing, like the other day a priest was shot in the head by Muslims, and they supposedly do it in the name of Allah, but I want to take steps further...I mean...really? As if taking one life has ever solved anything...think abortion, think of the millions dead because of it, and think of the millions of lives the Nazis took, did it solve or change anything? No. But in the case of Christ, taking his life didn't matter either...except one major difference...nobody took His life...He gave us His life...completely, heart, pierced, mind-crowned with thorns, body, mutiliated, and soul, given to God and to the world in the Holy Spirit. The thought my dear child, is quite simply...amazing.

“ I Will Make it Known . . .” † 😍

my2cents: St. Paul was on trial, and we heard: "The dispute was so serious that the commander, afraid that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, ordered his troops to go down and rescue Paul from their midst and take him into the compound. The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage. For just as you have borne witness to my cause in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.” And so Paul would head to Rome, and lay His head for the Church. And his head, literally, is still in Rome, in a church. An offering for the Church. And the Roman government ended eventually, the persecutors, and the Church, the Holy Catholic Church still stands today, as it will be forever, as promised by our Lord and Savior who is with us always.

As You Sent Me

"When he had finished speaking he knelt down and prayed with them all. They were all weeping loudly as they threw their arms around Paul and kissed him, for they were deeply distressed that he had said that they would never see his face again. Then they escorted him to the ship." St. Paul was saying farewell...for where he was going, there would be no return. This is the same stance that our Lord took when headed to Jerusalem for the last time. This Paul is a person who has allowed Jesus to take over His life, for the life of the world. And this is the same stance I ask that we all take for our Lord. One of no return to sin, that is to the world, to look to God's Kingdom...that is His will.

IAM Coming to You

my2cents: "Yet I consider life of no importance to me, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to bear witness to the Gospel of God’s grace."
My life doesn't matter, says Paul, except, the life of Christ. This sounds like a possessed person, right? And the question is, for you and me, what or who possesses me? If it is not Christ that is our sole focus in life, then we are not focused on the light. Beware of those who tell you to focus on other things. God first, everyone and everything else second. If I lose focus on Christ, everything else is susceptible to fall to pieces, because He holds us together.

The hour has come

my2cents: "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus." This is baptism, yes. "And when Paul laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them..." This is Confirmation, yes. These are two separate Sacraments. Yesterday our Bishop confirmed various students. Did they leave speaking in tongues? Or did they begin to prophecy? Because in Holy Scripture it says they did! Let us dive deeper into this.

Whatever you ask

"You, Lord, who know the hearts of all, show which one of these two you have chosen..." Let's keep this in mind as we hear our Lord speak in the Holy Gospel.
We pray in the Psalms: "Praise, you servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. Blessed be the name of the LORD both now and forever. The Lord will give him a seat with the leaders of his people." I do have a quarrel with our positioning on earth. Not questioning why I am here, exactly where I am at, but there is tremendous amounts of work, like moving a mountain, and I only have a spoon in my hand to do so. What is keeping me from moving t

In a little while

my2cents: "From now on I will go to the Gentiles" said St. Paul. And the plan of our Lord is executed. The Gentiles accepted our Lord and were baptized. This is what happens with the word, and I've seen it happen. The people you wish would believe, perfect candidates, won't accept the invitation, and those who you wouldn't believe would accept the Lord actually take. So, what's up with that? Lord knows! You just keep being and spreading the word.

He will not speak

my2cents: "‘For we too are his offspring..." we heard in the Scripture. In non christian religions, people do not see God as Father. Some naturalists may consider "nature" as "mother" but not as a true mother relationship but as a byproduct. But in Christianity, we have God as Father. This is why our Scripture says we are His offspring. Have you spoken with Him? Have you heard Our Father speaking lately? And we not only have Father, but mother too! Given to us from Jesus our Lord from the cross, Behold your Mother. We are the offspring of a new covenant, yes, but in all reality, the very essence of life, for dust is one thing, but spirit is another. Electricity is needed to run our heart, and that energy is from God Himself.

It is better that I go

 
"About midnight, while Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God as the prisoners listened, there was suddenly such a severe earthquake that the foundations of the jail shook; all the doors flew open, and the chains of all were pulled loose. " Praising in the storm. Can you do that? When things aren't going right? When you are in the dungeon, can you still pray and SING to the Lord? Can you be the light in the dark? Sure you can. Or you can fall into despair and be silent, and having fallen into temptation, be led to the slaughter. It is liberating to be on the side of light. The chains come off. And people are saved! I'm encouraging you to do this always.
