I have told you this

"On the contrary, we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, in the same way as they.” That's what we believe as Catholics, the first Christians in the world. We are saved by God's grace. As the way it always has been. Not by any other means or creations or people, saints or angels, but by God's grace. But let's learn what God's grace means! It means everything from humility and purity, to shear immense power, but if we only knew the power of humility, oh what bursts of life and joy we would all live! The kind that can get slapped around, and still love more. Only God can do that, and that is why we need Him more and more. Some people ask me as they are learning the faith, "but what if they keep doing it after I forgive them, they just keep putting me down and holding me down". What does this mean my friend? Deep inside I'm aggravated because the student, has much to learn about the truth of humility. They've apparently a long ways to go, to let go of the ego. One student seems to have caught on. He wanted to quit his job because his supervisor is always on his case, making fun of him and especially his new found Catholic religion. I told him to be patient, and to endure it, and not quit, think of your family, think of the lashings God asks us to endure. As of last week, he let me know that the means supervisor was demoted and moved away. This is what it means in the bible when it says "the meek shall inherit the earth". The Proud will divide and scatter. This is why Rome was broken apart and the Catholic Christians are there this day thousands of years later. With no sword lifted up, the evil divides itself. Do you understand the power of humility?

Nowadays, modern Christians deny the need to suffer. They teach wealth and prosperity. It is a libertarian thought, that you should get something for nothing, that you need not lift a finger and get what "you deserve". So this is how the youth are being raised, given cars, phones, money, for what? For being a kid? I had to work for my first car, and my first phone, and even my first nintendo when I was a kid, picking up cans off the road and selling them to raise my own money to buy the first ever Nintendos out there.And now that I'm an adult, I look at the faith, and boy, OH BOY, is there hardship to endure for the Kingdom.

When we apply ourselves daily, we are reminded daily. Therefore, create the good habit, but, do not make it only a habit, like someone accused me of when I said I needed to go to daily Mass. I replied to him "this is not a habit, the first thing I do...

“I am not speaking of all of you.. .”

Our Lord says in the Gospel: “Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it." Back to our Father's business. No slave is greater than his master. I'm thinking of an employee and the employer. The employee in a sense, is like a slave, right? The employer has no right to abuse the employee, nor does the employee have the right to be abusive with his employer.

I came into the world as light

Set apart means holy. When God calls us to be set apart, this was the beginning of His relationship with us from the very beginning. What does set apart mean? Division? Only from sin. Not from each other, how else could one reach a sinner?

my2cents: "The hand of the Lord was with them and a great number who believed turned to the Lord." There is something about a true believer that makes for a world of a difference. There are some of us who say we believe, but we doubt. But a true believer makes a world of a difference. Let's keep a note on that as I attempt to help you believe all the more!
